after just 7 days off, was able to race from the same mark as last time and took full advantage, looking in top form even if he was seen to good effect; pressed leader, went with zest, went on after 3f, kicked on 3f out, threatened briefly over 1f out, kept going well.

again ran well, building up a very solid profile, beaten only by a well-in front-runner who was seen to pretty good effect; chased leaders, travelled fluently, took second halfway, challenged 2f out, wandered slightly 1f out, kept on.

seemed amiss, quite possibly linked to his having spread a plate on the way to post and running without the shoe; missed the break, raced wide, mid-division, effort under 4f out, hung badly right under 3f out, heavily eased off; he's probably best given a pass for this.
