's achievements this term have been overshadowed somewhat by his outstanding stable companion Douvan, but he is clearly a very smart novice in his own right, not needing to improve to land his fourth Grade 1 of the campaign, the Neptune at Cheltenham the only time he has tasted defeat when completing; made running, typically took strong hold, blundered third, mistake 3 out, quickened early in straight, kept going well; although a stayer on the Flat, he will reportedly be aimed at the top 2m races next term, but will need to take his form up another notch if he is to trouble the likes of Faugheen.

has been unlucky to bump into some well above-average novices this term, runner-up to Black Hercules and Douvan on his last 2 completed starts, and bounced back from a heavy fall at Aintree to turn in just about his best effort to date; tracked pace, challenged entering straight, kept on; versatile with regards to trip and ground, he appeals as the type to do well over fences.
