was the pick on form and ran at least as well as previously to take his record to 3 wins from 4 starts, scoring in the manner of one sure to be suited by at least 1¼m; mid-division, headway over 2f out, challenged early in straight, stayed on to lead dying strides; he's a fair way off his yard's best 2-y-os but looks likely to make a smart performer next season.

was much improved to go close up in grade, well suited by a sterner test of stamina; raced along inside, prominent, led under pressure over 1f out, worn down near finish; she'll stay at least 1¼m and won't be out of place in an Oaks trial in the spring.

ran a fine race up in grade having landed a nursery off a mark of just 70 the time before, held up, good headway on inner 2f out, every chance final 1f, no extra final 100 yds but clear of rest; her sister Dan's Dream won the Fred Darling as a 3-y-o.

A standard edition of a listed race that varies little in quality from year to year, connections of the winner hoping he takes more after last year's runner-up Westover than some of the rather forgettable names on the recent roll of honour; a few raced wide from the outset but a position nearer the inside was no disadvantage judged on the efforts of the second, third, and fourth.

LOCAL DYNASTY (IRE) was the pick on form and ran at least as well as previously to take his record to 3 wins from 4 starts, scoring in the manner of one sure to be suited by at least 1¼m; mid-division, headway over 2f out, challenged early in straight, stayed on to lead dying strides; he's a fair way off his yard's best 2-y-os but looks likely to make a smart performer next season.

ARKENDALE was asked a big question second time out and should find this his aiding development; worst of draw, dropped out, headway on inner over 1f out, never on terms; open to further improvement.

CAPTAIN WINTERS wasn't in the same form as last time; raced wide, mid-division, ridden over 2f out, not quicken.

SIRONA (GER) proved to be a disappointment; raced wide, prominent, weakened 2f out.

CHILLHI (IRE) ran even worse, possibly unsuited by conditions; close up, weakened 2f out.
