is a likeable and tactically versatile type and, fitted with cheekpieces, improved again reverted to front-running tactics, making it 2-2 over C&D in straightforward fashion, worth noting that he's the second winner already from York race from only a handful of runners; made all, went on entering straight, in command 1f out, driven out.

in first-time cheekpieces, got back on track returned to a longer trip, perhaps worth a try over further still; in touch, driven home turn, kept on, no impression on winner.

whose form last time is proving strong, ran creditably after 6 weeks off, though the handicapper looks in charge for now; close up, ridden 3f out, edged left early in straight, one paced.

back on turf/down in trip, bumped into a highly-progressive sort last time, but wasn't in anywhere near the same form, this not the first time he's looked awkward under presssure, still to give his running on turf; waited with, driven over 3f out, hung left from early in straight, never dangerous.

back up in trip on handicap debut, probably needed the run on first outing since leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien after 8 months off, but he's presumably had his problems (sold for just 3,000 gns) and is likely going to need his mark to come down plenty before he's competitive; held up, pushed along over 2f out, carried head bit awkwardly, left behind over 1f out.

back down markedly in trip, ran no sort of race with hood refitted on first outing since leaving David Simcock after 9 months off, a return to staying trips probably in the offing; slowly into stride, off the bridle long way out, always behind.
