made a winning reappearance last May, and after attracting support, he produced a career best to come out on top after 5 months off (has been gelded), seen to maximum effect on a day that was favouring those who raced prominently, far from certain to back this up, especially when one considers last season's mixed record; made all, shaken up over 2f out, kept going well.

runner-up over hurdles when last seen in December, posted a most encouraging return to action, his performance worth marking up as he fared comfortably best of those who attempted to come from off the pace; held up, headway when met some trouble over 2f out, edged left final 1f, stayed on.

ran respectably after 6 months off and is likely to benefit from the outing, his yard as a whole yet to get going (had first runner of year earlier on card), surely a positive that connections have decided to persevere; prominent, ridden when short of room home turn, one paced; has been gelded incidentally.

shaped with a good deal of promise after 7 months off, looking a big threat until a lack of peak fitness told; in touch, chased leader over 2f out, effort flattened out; appeals as a horse who has more to offer this season, still unexposed over middle distances, and is one to be with next time.

Another race on the card that went the way of a front-runner, a conservative view of the bare form advised for all this may be a handicap that throws up future winners, a number shaping as if better for the run, Master of Finance making all to land a late gamble.

MASTER OF FINANCE (IRE) made a winning reappearance last May, and after attracting support, he produced a career best to come out on top after 5 months off (has been gelded), seen to maximum effect on a day that was favouring those who raced prominently, far from certain to back this up, especially when one considers last season's mixed record; made all, shaken up over 2f out, kept going well.

EASY TERMS off the track since underperforming in this contest last year (her sole start of the campaign), proved that she retains plenty of ability and is sure to strip fitter with this under her belt; mid-field, travelled better than most, shaken up approaching 2f out, not quicken.

MAVEN offered something to work on making her reappearance, ridden more patiently than usual and poorly placed as a result; waited with, headway over 1f out, never on terms.
