as expected was suited by this sort of test, posting another fairly useful effort just a week after being brought down in the melee at the sixth in a subsequently-voided race at Wincanton, hard to believe he's still a maiden over fences; held up, bumped first, went handy circuit out, blundered fifteenth, reminder before next, ridden home turn, challenged last, ran on.

was mixing it in slightly lesser company and ran one of this season's better races, though given his recent profile, he'd be just as likely to run poorly next time; handy, pushed along after 3 out, held when jumped right last (stamina possibly stretched).

A typically competitive renewal of this valuable long-distance handicap; it was a soundly-run affair, several still in with a chance on the home turn, though Morney Wing had just taken it up then and was able to fend off the challenge of Dawson City in the straight.

MORNEY WING (IRE) got off the mark for the season, holding his form well at present, given a fine ride by Paddy Brennan (who was a late replacement for Noel Fehily); never far away, upsides 3 out, went on home turn, shaken up after 2 out, tackled last, dug deep under pressure.

WOODFORD COUNTY continues below form; helped force pace, reminders before 5 out, weakened from 3 out.
