is a prolific winner but has been the beneficiary of some excellent placing and, even after 11 weeks off, was clearly cherry ripe in notching the most valuable success of his career; never far away, jumped soundly, travelled fluently, produced to lead soon after 3 out, asserted approaching next, in command last, ridden out; he's reliable and versatile, but at the same time it wouldn't be surprising if he's close to the ceiling of his ability.

upped in trip, ran a typical race, threatening rather more than he delivered; patiently ridden, took closer order before 4 out, every chance next, left behind by winner approaching 2 out, not fluent there, one paced, in the end only just getting the better of Cepage for second after seeming likely to leave that one well behind.

ran one of this season's better races, probably benefiting from not being taken on in front; made running, shaken up after 3 out, headed soon after 3 out, not quicken.

A very thin handicap by 0-150 standards, the prolific Sure Touch probably needing to do nothing more than give his running to bag his seventh win from his last 11 starts, the runner-up a rare underachiever from the Mullins yard and the third an unreliable veteran these days.

SURE TOUCH is a prolific winner but has been the beneficiary of some excellent placing and, even after 11 weeks off, was clearly cherry ripe in notching the most valuable success of his career; never far away, jumped soundly, travelled fluently, produced to lead soon after 3 out, asserted approaching next, in command last, ridden out; he's reliable and versatile, but at the same time it wouldn't be surprising if he's close to the ceiling of his ability.
