proved at least as good as ever to come out on top back in a handicap, having the run of things but showing all the likeable qualities that have made her a prolific winner; dictated, travelled well, quickened under 2f out, closed down final 1f, driven out; she's come up short in 2 listed races but black type isn't an unrealistic goal.

fitter for comeback, showed improved form, benefiting from the step up to a trip her dam stayed and if anything leaving the impression she'd have benefited from a truer test; held up, outpaced under 3f out, headway over 1f out, chased leader final 1f, stayed on well; this shows she's up to winning a handicap.

won first time back in a fine 2024 but is 19 lb higher now and shaped as if better for the run after 7 months off; in touch, effort on inner 2f out, not quicken, not knocked about; she'll be sharper for this but will need to resume progress if she's to add to her tally of wins.

An early chance for 3-y-os against older horses over this sort of trip but the winner upheld the honour of the older generation, helped in no small part by being able to dictate a steady gallop.

CIARA PEARL proved at least as good as ever to come out on top back in a handicap, having the run of things but showing all the likeable qualities that have made her a prolific winner; dictated, travelled well, quickened under 2f out, closed down final 1f, driven out; she's come up short in 2 listed races but black type isn't an unrealistic goal.

CASTRO AURUM ran creditably with more on her plate back in a handicap; slowly into stride, held up, ridden 3f out, merely plugged on, lack of stamina not seeming an issue.
