gelded since last seen, found improvement to win a handicap at just the second attempt, well served by the return to 6f; raced stand side, led, shaken up over 2f out, kept on well final 1f, eased close home; this wasn't the most competitive of handicaps, but he looks the sort to progress further.

wasn't disgraced after 7 months off, without the cheekpieces worn on her last 2 starts, a bit keener than ideal and not fully seeing the race out, her next run likely to be a better guide to how well she's trained on; raced stand side, prominent, not settle fully, ridden over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

These were either having their first run of the year or coming here off the back of a below-par effort, so this probably wasn't the strongest of races, the first 4 pulling clear, the winner the most lightly raced of the whole field and able to find a fair bit of improvement on his return; the field raced as 2 groups, stand side and centre, though the winner would surely have won whichever group he was in.

KING OF JUNGLE (IRE) gelded since last seen, found improvement to win a handicap at just the second attempt, well served by the return to 6f; raced stand side, led, shaken up over 2f out, kept on well final 1f, eased close home; this wasn't the most competitive of handicaps, but he looks the sort to progress further.
