had won 4 of her 5 starts since joining her current yard, and back on turf, produced a career best to cause a shock, no doubt benefiting to some extent from the underperformance of several more fancied rivals, but worth crediting with a useful effort nonetheless; held up, smooth headway over 3f out, short of room 2f out, switched over 1f out, led soon after, wandered, just held on.

was returning from 6 months off, but he's gone well fresh in the past so this has to go down as a missed opportunity in this company as he ran below form; chased leaders, travelled strongly, led 2f out, headed 1f out, edged left, kept on, pulled clear of remainder; he's usually patiently ridden, and it's possible the change of tactics didn't suit, hitting the front so far out, so he's worth another chance before suggesting he's not going to be as good this time around, still relatively low-mileage despite his age.

is a smart performer at his best, winning the Geoffrey Freer Stakes in 2014, and though he managed only one run (on firm ground) in 2015, he shaped as if retaining most, if not all of his ability returning from 11 months off, likely to be better with this behind him; mid-field, pushed along early in straight, challenged 2f out, every chance over 1f out, weakened; he's not convinced with his stamina when tried at 2m in the past, and may prove best up to this sort of trip.

was back on turf but wasn't in the same form as last time, excuses hard to come by given he had race-fitness on his side and also has form in the conditions; chased leaders, pushed along early in straight, weakened over 1f out; he's probably not the most straightforward, not winning the races over the last couple of seasons his talent suggests he should.

is a smart stayer at his best, as his third in the Northumberland Plate and fifth in the Cesarewitch last year attest, and he simply seemed in need of the run returning from 6 months off; made running, headed 2f out, weakened.

is very well bred, counting the Derby winner Pour Moi among his siblings, so rather surprising he was let go for just 20,000 gns after winning his only start last autumn for Aidan O'Brien, that suggesting he's had problems and this return from 6 months off contained little promise; held up, driven early in straight, lost place over 3f out.

All 9 ran.

This has the look of early-season form, the majority of those towards the head of the betting having their first start of the year and seemingly found out by conditions, and a lowish view of the form is advised, but Frosty Berry has been most progressive since joining her current yard and she's worth rating as if value for another career best.

FROSTY BERRY had won 4 of her 5 starts since joining her current yard, and back on turf, produced a career best to cause a shock, no doubt benefiting to some extent from the underperformance of several more fancied rivals, but worth crediting with a useful effort nonetheless; held up, smooth headway over 3f out, short of room 2f out, switched over 1f out, led soon after, wandered, just held on.
