less exposed than the rest, had looked a different proposition for the drop back to 5f at Newmarket and duly improved further to defy a 10 lb rise to follow up from that success, again impressing with how he went about his business and value extra over the bare result; bumped start but soon in touch, travelled strongly, headway approaching 2f out, quickened to lead approaching 1f out, kept on well and just needed to be pushed out; still unexposed at this trip, he looks capable of landing the hat-trick.

with his last run easily excused (poorly drawn) he wasted no time getting back on track; bumped start, off pace, raced freely, progress over 1f out, stuck to task; is yet to get his head in front this season but remains below his last winning mark and is threatening to come good soon.

A useful sprint handicap which should prove solid form, with the consistent - if exposed - pair in second and third giving the result some substance, but neither were a match for the up-and-coming Double Up, who quickened up smartly to readily put matters to bed; Judge 'N Jury set a searching pace.

DOUBLE UP less exposed than the rest, had looked a different proposition for the drop back to 5f at Newmarket and duly improved further to defy a 10 lb rise to follow up from that success, again impressing with how he went about his business and value extra over the bare result; bumped start but soon in touch, travelled strongly, headway approaching 2f out, quickened to lead approaching 1f out, kept on well and just needed to be pushed out; still unexposed at this trip, he looks capable of landing the hat-trick.

BORDERLESCOTT again ran creditably and is proving consistent this season despite his advancing years and the fact that he doesn't appear to have a great deal in hand; raced in touch down the centre, headway under pressure from 2f out, stayed on.

RUSTY ROCKET (IRE) shaped as if still in top form, faring best of those that raced up with the pace; prominent, ridden over 2f out, one paced.

IT MUST BE FAITH wasn't disgraced, at least getting a bit closer to Double Up on these revised terms, but never looked like landing a blow; mid-field, driven over 1f out, not quicken.

JUDGE 'N JURY wasn't in the same form as last time but did too much in front having been pestered on the lead from the off; led, headed approaching final 1f, weakened.

BLITHE SPIRIT was again below form, doing too much too soon having again been unable to get to the front; close up, effort 2f out, folded last ½f.

BURNING THREAD (IRE) is clearly better than he could show here, his chance all but gone leaving the stalls; badly hampered start, in rear and switched soon after, brief headway over 1f out but not sustain effort.

SLEEPY SIOUX back on turf and without headgear this time, fared no better after 4 months off; mid-field until weakened over 1f out.

FREE ZONE fared no better than last time; raced stand side in mid-division, off the bridle before most, weakened final 1f.

HARROGATE FAIR run best excused having reportedly bled; dived left leaving stalls, raced off the pace, faltered over 2f out and pulled up.
