A fairly useful handicap but one that ended up rather one-sided, improving Fear Glic positively ridden and continuing to pour it on after the pack - most of them fully exposed - had threatened briefly 3 out.

FEAR GLIC (IRE) is firmly going the right way as a chaser now and defied a penalty for Stratford with authority, all his enthusiasm and ability from his hurdling days intact; disputed lead, went on tenth, reduced advantage when steadied into 5 out, quickened again 4 out, untidy next, kept on well straight and well on top finish.

WADSWICK COURT (IRE) who attracted support, got back on track on his first outing since leaving Neil Mulholland after 5 months off; in touch, bumped first, went prominent circuit out, mistake eleventh, closed down leader 3 out, ridden home turn, effort flattened out.

LADFROMHIGHWORTH showed plenty of ability remains after 8 months off, though he's more or less exposed by now; disputed lead until tenth, remained prominent, ridden before 5 out, plugged on.

BINCOMBE wasn't that far below form after 12 weeks off but went about it in a lacklustre fashion with his usual blinkers missing; in touch, jumped right first, never going well from early final circuit, laboured headway 4 out, plugged on, no further impression.

LORD LANDEN (IRE) was again let down by his attitude after 6 weeks off, albeit in contrasting fashion; soon detached and looked less than keen, early mistakes, some headway circuit out, ridden from 4 out, made little impression.

ACE FIGHTER PILOT evidently hard to train, shaped as if retaining ability after another 5 months off but needs to show he can stand regular racing; tracked pace, clouted first, pushed along after 4 out, no threat from home turn.

EASILY PLEASED (IRE) ran a familiar race; dropped out, travelled better than most, in touch circuit out, shaken up after 4 out, found little.

WILLEM (FR) back up in trip, shaped as if amiss; patiently ridden, good progress out wide 5 out, jumped left next, folded tamely, pulled up before 2 out.
