ran well without winning in Dubai this winter but, following a 9-week break, looked at least as good as ever making the breakthrough at Group level, and it's worth noting that he's building a strong track record; in rear, good headway when forced to switch over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, won readily; being played last probably worked in his favour given the wind direction, but he rarely runs a bad race and should continue to hold his own at this sort of level.

may have lost his unbeaten record but still emerged with plenty of credit upped markedly in grade after 6 months off; waited with, progress 3f out, upsides 2f out, edged ahead over 1f out, headed final 100 yds, no match for winner; may do better still and it looks just a matter of time before he opens his account in listed/pattern company.

gelded since last seen 6 months earlier, ran up to best on first outing since leaving John Patrick Murtagh; mid-field, headway under pressure over 2f out, upsides soon after, no extra final 100 yds; a smart and likeable type, he'll remain of interest when there's cut in the gound, provided his sights aren't set too high.

shaped as if better for the run after 6 months off; in touch, travelled well, headway under 3f out, upsides briefly 2f out, weakened soon after; he may not be the easiest to place in the short term, though, perhaps best suited by big-field handicaps but on a BHA mark of 106, which leaves little room for manoeuvre.

after 10 weeks off, wasn't in the same form as last time, adding weight to the idea that he was flattered by the winning margin that day; prominent, went on 3f out, headed 2f out, weakened.

probably needed the run after 7 months off, not helped by refusing to settle, the gelding operation he's undergone since last seen having done little to calm him down in this evidence; led early, headed after 2f, remained prominent, weakened over 2f out; is a smart performer up to 1½m on his day and will be better off back in lesser races.

A good renewal of this Group 3, the winner putting up a very smart display to comfortably see off the unexposed runner-up, whilst Raadobarg in third made an encouraging start for his new yard.

OTTOMAN FLEET ran well without winning in Dubai this winter but, following a 9-week break, looked at least as good as ever making the breakthrough at Group level, and it's worth noting that he's building a strong track record; in rear, good headway when forced to switch over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, won readily; being played last probably worked in his favour given the wind direction, but he rarely runs a bad race and should continue to hold his own at this sort of level.
