didn't need to improve much if at all to take advantage of a drop in grade, looking to have done plenty of work and sharper than her main rival beforehand; close up, travelled well, led over 2f out, shaken up after, always looked in control, drew further clear last ½f; she'll be at least as effective back at 1m, but the Guineas will need a fair bit more from her.

after 5 months off, had failed to make much impact at Group 3/listed level after her novice win at 2 yrs and seemed to excel herself, one of the better types and given credit for the improvement for now; prominent, shaken up over 2f out, not quicken, kept on final 1f.

didn't look quite so forward as the winner, under a penalty for beating her here in the autumn, and she ran below form, her effort just flattening out late on; waited with, not settle fully, effort over 2f out, chased leader over 1f out, no extra inside final 1f; with a run under her belt, she could turn the tables on the winner in the Guineas, but that doesn't make her of much interest, even so.

hasn't grown much since 2 yrs and while she ran respectably in first-time tongue strap after 6 months off, she may not have much improvement in her off this; held up, ridden over 2f out, not quicken, stayed on final 1f, never on terms.

was below form after 5 months off, typically making the running, but just not good enough at this level; led until over 2f out, weakened over 1f out.

did well at 2 yrs, kept busy, but she seems likely to be hard to place this time round, though 7f isn't her trip, a drop back to 6f surely on the cards; held up, not settle fully, shaken up 2f out, made no impression.

went backwards from her reappearance, upped in grade, running no sort of race really, though connections blamed the ground afterwards, surely more to her poor effort than that; held up, labouring over 3f out.

One of the chief British trials for the 1000 Guineas, though none of the 5 entered in the classic was shorter than 25/1 ante-post beforehand and it's unlikely this will have much bearing on what happens next month, the winner and third both pretty well exposed at 2 yrs, the runner-up a novice winner from 6 starts - the overall time and sectional not doing much to boost the view taken of the form either.

CACHET (IRE) didn't need to improve much if at all to take advantage of a drop in grade, looking to have done plenty of work and sharper than her main rival beforehand; close up, travelled well, led over 2f out, shaken up after, always looked in control, drew further clear last ½f; she'll be at least as effective back at 1m, but the Guineas will need a fair bit more from her.
