ran well returning from 5 months off, just unable to get past race-fit rival who's right at the top of his game at the moment; handy, launched strong challenge over 1f out, no extra only late on.

wasn't seen to best effect and is worth treating as if still in top form, not getting a great deal of room to work with and also struck over the nose by a rival's whip; waited with, took keen hold, headway when not clear run over 1f out, switched final 1f, stayed on.

got back on track, just hitting top gear a bit too late on the drop back to the minimum trip; in rear, outpaced halfway, switched and stayed on final 1f, nearest at the finish; will benefit from return to 6f.
