taking on elders for first time, ran well in a strong-looking 3-y-o handicap on reappearance and did his bit for the form by essentially bolting up here, despite things not going entirely smoothly; awkward leaving stalls (rider lost iron), recovered to race prominently, travelled well, upsides approaching 2f out, went on soon after, quickened clear in a matter of strides in final 1f, impressive; has more progress in him and remains one to be interested in.

last 5 wins have come at Southwell but he's just as effective away from fibresand and ran right up to best, only denied the hat-trick by an unexposed 3-y-o; close up, edged ahead briefly 2f out, ridden soon after, one paced; should remain in form.
