from a stable who'd won this event back in 2013, was less exposed than most of these and improved further to complete the hat-trick, taking the rise in class in her stride, and for all that she was well placed as this went she proved really determined where it mattered, hard to knock her achievements in a season in which she remains unbeaten; disputed lead, travelled fluently, edged ahead over 2f out, tackled soon after but battled on well and never looked being headed; her rate of progress may be slowing, but that's not to say she's quite peaked yet, and she'll remain one to keep on the right side.

ran to just a similar level as last time, better placed than most as this went but probably in need of further to be seen to her absolute optimum, not that there's any disgrace in being beaten by one recieving a chunk of weight thats proving so progressive; tracked pace, travelled well, edged left when challenged soon after 2f out, stayed on, no impression on winner; hasn't had things go her way since York and looks worth another chance to confirm the form she showed there.

seemed likely to be suited by the drop back in trip given how she'd shaped at Haydock last time, but finished further behind Talmada than on that occasion, not entirely disgraced having reached the frame, but this was still a second backward step from the form she showed in a Group 2 on her reappearance; in touch, progress over 2f out, kept on but no match for principals.

ran respectably but her form seems to have plateaued at a level which is likely to leave her vulnerable even in ordinary listed events; mid-division, ridden over 2f out, not quicken.

wasn't disgraced upped in trip and looked unlucky not to finish closer; held up, travelled better than most, headway when met some trouble under 2f out, forced to switch approaching last ½f, ran on, not given at all a hard time.

upped in trip after 9 months off, had just a maiden win to her name, though the form of that race couldn't have worked out much better, with subsequent Group 1 winner Star of Seville and subsequent Group 3 winner Redstart amongst those in behind, but her inexperience shone through here, ultimately looking as if she'll be better for the run; mid-field, not settle fully, effort 2f out, intimidated soon after, made no impression; should still do better in time and will remain of interest.

with the visor quickly discarded, fared no better than last time, looks a shadow of the horse that finished a close second in last year's Fillies' Mile; raced off the pace, off the bridle before most, merely passed beaten horses.

the form of the maiden she won last time out received a boost earlier in the day, but simply wasn't up to the task pitched straight into a higher grade; disputed lead, raced freely, headed over 2f out, weakened.

is better than she could show here, bearing the brunt of the domino effect created by Talmada shifting left 2f out; soon steadied, shaken up 3f out, keeping on when badly hampered under 2f out, not recover; split a pair who both showed up really well at Royal Ascot, namely Temptress and Amazing Maria, on her second start this season, and looks worth another chance to confirm the promise of that effort.

Just an ordinary race by listed standards, the improving winner not one to knock unduly for all that she was well placed as this went, always bang up with a pace which was no more than even, few able to make any inroads, whilst traffic in behind also accounted for a number of the likelier types.

COVERT LOVE (IRE) from a stable who'd won this event back in 2013, was less exposed than most of these and improved further to complete the hat-trick, taking the rise in class in her stride, and for all that she was well placed as this went she proved really determined where it mattered, hard to knock her achievements in a season in which she remains unbeaten; disputed lead, travelled fluently, edged ahead over 2f out, tackled soon after but battled on well and never looked being headed; her rate of progress may be slowing, but that's not to say she's quite peaked yet, and she'll remain one to keep on the right side.
