has made an encouraging start to his chasing career and seems sure to win more races before the season is out, having matters under control a good way out here; made all, went with zest, kicked clear early in straight, in control when untidy last 2 (jumped soundly otherwise), reduced advantage only late on.

got back on track following yet another breathing operation, unlucky to bump into such an unexposed rival; patiently ridden, typically jumped well travelling smoothly, took closer order out wide back straight, upsides briefly 5 out, left behind by winner next but plugged on.

shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests and should prove competitive off this sort of mark another time; raced in third, outpaced briefly 5 out, shaken up home turn, keeping on a few lengths adrift of the runner-up when landed very awkwardly last.

went backwards from his chasing debut win - he did have a rather patchy profile in Ireland for previous connections; chased leader early, not fluent back straight, behind from 5 out.

Form to view positively, the unexposed winner making relatively light work of seeing off 4 rivals who'd all tasted success this winter; the pace was good.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW (IRE) has made an encouraging start to his chasing career and seems sure to win more races before the season is out, having matters under control a good way out here; made all, went with zest, kicked clear early in straight, in control when untidy last 2 (jumped soundly otherwise), reduced advantage only late on.
