stood out on form and made the most of her opportunity, her experience an asset as well, not needing to improve on her form last time to score with a bit in hand; in touch, travelled well, shaken up over 2f out, led soon after, in command entering final 1f, kept on, won readily; remains capable of better, likely to be tried at pattern level before long, likely to be at least as effective back over further too.

after 7 months off over 3f longer trip, couldn't justify her market position, but she had more on than that implied and built on debut promise, the winner just knowing a bit too much for her; held up, shaken up over 3f out, headway under 2f out, chased leader final 1f, ran on; she's not much on looks but clearly has plenty of ability and will go on improving, likely to stay 1½m too.

ran to a similar level as last time, having the run of the race, but still holding on to third once the principals had quickened away from her; led, took keen hold, shaken up over 2f out, edged right, headed soon after, left behind over 1f out.

easily the most exposed of these, ran about as well as could have been expected upped in grade; tracked pace, travelled well, shaken up 2f out, not quicken, carried head bit awkwardly.

ran about as well as could have been expected upped in grade, lacking a turn of foot off an ordinary gallop and probably ready for a step up in trip; patiently ridden, took keen hold, shaken up over 2f out, one paced.

All 6 ran.

Winning Owner: Ben & Sir Martyn Arbib

Time: 2m 7.96s Closing Sectional: (4f): 47.4s (108%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 109%, Betfair SP 101.2%

A couple of promising novice winners against a trio that had acquitted themselves well without winning in an Oaks trial, Stay Alert having shown form in finishing runner-up at this level here to win an average running of this, knowing too much for the favourite, the pair doing well to pull clear off an ordinary gallop, both still with potential, the other 4 finishing in a heap.

STAY ALERT stood out on form and made the most of her opportunity, her experience an asset as well, not needing to improve on her form last time to score with a bit in hand; in touch, travelled well, shaken up over 2f out, led soon after, in command entering final 1f, kept on, won readily; remains capable of better, likely to be tried at pattern level before long, likely to be at least as effective back over further too.
