won in this grade as a 2-y-o but improved some more to gain a second pattern success, this one against colts as well as her elders; held up, pushed along over 2f out, switched entering final 1f, led close home; she's been kept busy in her 2 seasons of racing, landing several good pots, including the Super Sprint on this card last year, and she's a real credit to connections.

making turf debut, ran at least as well as last time to again narrowly get the better of last year's winner for second; led group, joined 2f out, edged right, stuck to task, regained second on post; he's got a really likeable way of going about things, the way he rallied to retake second proposing a try at 7f at some stage.

again ran below form, though did do best of the trio who raced closest to the rail; chased leader, ridden halfway, not quicken; his 3-y-o season petered out after a good reappearance and this year is threatening to go the same way.

proved to be a disappointment, but it's possible he was feeling the effects on his back-to-back efforts at Royal Ascot and he remains better judged on his previous form, just not himself here, where he raced a secondary issue; held up, not settle fully, pushed along over 2f out, no response.

All 7 ran.

Winning Owner: The McMurray Family

Time: 1m 10.29s Closing Sectional: (4f): 45.15s (103.8%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 109%, Betfair SP 100.9%

A disjointed Hackwood, the field racing in 2 groups before they converged towards the near rail in the last 2f, the first 3 all coming from the group of 4 that had raced down the centre, Happy Romance having plenty of racing under her belt but showing that she's still getting better.

HAPPY ROMANCE (IRE) won in this grade as a 2-y-o but improved some more to gain a second pattern success, this one against colts as well as her elders; held up, pushed along over 2f out, switched entering final 1f, led close home; she's been kept busy in her 2 seasons of racing, landing several good pots, including the Super Sprint on this card last year, and she's a real credit to connections.

DILIGENT HARRY making turf debut, ran at least as well as last time to again narrowly get the better of last year's winner for second; led group, joined 2f out, edged right, stuck to task, regained second on post; he's got a really likeable way of going about things, the way he rallied to retake second proposing a try at 7f at some stage.

TABDEED won this race last year and ran up to his best, needing no excuses; mid-field, pushed along over 2f out, led over 1f out, headed late on.

ROYAL COMMANDO (IRE) again ran below form, though did do best of the trio who raced closest to the rail; chased leader, ridden halfway, not quicken; his 3-y-o season petered out after a good reappearance and this year is threatening to go the same way.

ROYAL CRUSADE back down in trip, failed to come on for recent run; in touch, ridden 2f out, weakened final 1f.

KING'S LYNN proved to be a disappointment, but it's possible he was feeling the effects on his back-to-back efforts at Royal Ascot and he remains better judged on his previous form, just not himself here, where he raced a secondary issue; held up, not settle fully, pushed along over 2f out, no response.
