back in cheekpieces after her pipe-opener, completed a simple enough task with barely a moment's worry, always controlling the race and sure to have won anyway even had her closest pursuer not blundered her chance away; led, jumped right, quickened before 4 out, in command after next, well clear run-in, well on top finish; she's won the Warfield at Ascot for the last 2 seasons as a follow-up to success in this, so that would seem a logical next step, though the Grand National is obviously the ultimate aim.

stepped up on her reappearance run after 8 weeks off, though she'd have done even better had she not blundered 2 out, when looking as if she'd at least draw a bit more out of the winner; held up, took second 3 out, clouted next, no extra.

faced a stiff task in this grade and wasn't up to it at this stage of her chasing career; close up, not quicken early in straight, lost second 3 out, left behind soon after.

Magic of Light had a lot in hand of her 2 rivals on her best form and didn't have to reproduce that to win with plenty in hand, landing the race for the third time, disappointing that it's a contest that has attracted fewer runners each time it's been run.
