Non Runners: SANAADH, BREATH OF AIR.

Winning Owner: Mr M. Channon

Time: 1m 28.94s Closing Sectional: (4.00f): 49.45s (102.8%)

A useful handicap, though with 6 of the 7 runners 5-y-o+ none really had any secrets from the handicapper, the race a pretty meagre one to sandwich between 2 pattern races on the main Saturday card.

PATTIE turned in her best effort of the season, down to a mark just 2 lb above her last winning one, her rider again getting the best out of her; tracked pace, travelled well, led over 1f out, kept on, eased final strides.

RIPP ORF (IRE) turned in best effort of the season, building on the promise of his last run; held up, headway over 2f out, kept on inside final 1f.

LOVE DREAMS (IRE) ran better than for a while, though beaten fair and square; prominent, ridden over 2f out, every chance over 1f out, one paced.

GRAPHITE STORM wasn't disgraced, never really getting the breaks though unable to pick up when the odd window presented itself; waited with, not clear run over 2f out, shaken up over 1f out, never landed a blow.

PIECE OF HISTORY (IRE) fared little better than on his reappearance, though the ground was probably softer than ideal; chased leader, not settle fully, led 3f out, headed over 1f out, weakened.

GEORGE WILLIAM was below form, though spared a hard time once his chance had gone; in touch, effort over 2f out, no extra over 1f out, not persevered with once held.

TOY THEATRE was well held after 4 months off; led until 3f out, weakened soon after.
