back up in trip, showed much improved form, in calmer waters than last time, her ability to handle the conditions probably the key to the outcome; tracked pace, effort under 2f out, kept on, led final 50 yds; she'll stay 7f, something like the Prestige Stakes an option for her next.

on softer ground than on debut, after 9 weeks off, failed to progress from that run, clear signs of still needing the experience; prominent, travelled smoothly, shaken up over 1f out, not quicken, wandered and ran green; debut form has largely been boosted subsequently and remains capable of better.

found this too competitive, up markedly in grade from debut, though he ran at least as well and may well have more to offer with his sights lowered; held up, shaken up over 1f out, not quicken.

The rain-softened ground was probably the key to the outcome of this listed event, neither of the market leaders looking at home on it once off the bridle, the form almost certainly below the usual standard for the race, the third and fourth remaining at least as interesting as the winner.
