was easy to back but returned to form in some style after 17 months off, looking right back to his best for all that this fell apart; made running, travelled well, shaken up under 2f out, quickened over 1f out, kept on well.

easy to back having had a breathing operation since last seen, should be better for the run after 5 months off; in touch, took strong hold, shaken up under 2f out, kept on final 1f, not persevered with once held; last season's promise shouldn't be forgotten and he remains with potential.

was strong in the betting back down in trip/returning to turf but went backwards from his promising reappearance, getting upset in the stalls and perhaps also resenting the fitting of a hood, never really going with much zest; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, outpaced before halfway, never involved; it's still very early days for new connections.
