looked back to his best, even if there are doubts about the substance of the form, handling the conditions better than might have been expected, at least from listening to connections; tracked pace, travelled well, led 1f out, kept on well, won readily; yet to race beyond 6f, but no surprise to hear the Park Stakes and the Foret mentioned as possible targets, given how well he saw out a very testing 6f.

seemed to excel herself in this better company, given credit for now, though whether she will repeat the form under more usual conditions is open to doubt, clearly handling testing ground well; chased leaders, ridden 2f out, every chance 1f out, kept on.

after 10 weeks off, proved at least as good as ever, though she probably had quite a bit in her favour, ability to handle the ground, on the best part of the track and racing handily; good speed to press leader, led under pressure over 2f out, headed 1f out, one paced.

back in a tongue strap, wasn't disgraced, conditions probably not ideal for coming from off the pace, his progress petering out late on; slowly into stride, held up, ridden over 2f out, headway over 1f out, not quicken well inside final 1f.

back down in trip, was below form after 4 months off, on softer ground but just looking a little rusty as much as anything, his next run likely to show just what form he's in; led until over 2f out, weakened over 1f out.

easy to back, wasn't in the same form as last time, a bit to find under a penalty, but the ground an obvious excuse anyway; chased leader, ridden halfway, weakened over 1f out.

Not the easiest Group 3 to weigh up, with the places filled by the 2 longest-priced runners, the runner-up seemingly much improved, the first 4 home all racing more towards the centre than the remainder and perhaps at an advantage in doing so, though the winner in style if not in substance looked capable of running to his best if required, any questions about the ground dispelled.

MAGICAL MEMORY (IRE) looked back to his best, even if there are doubts about the substance of the form, handling the conditions better than might have been expected, at least from listening to connections; tracked pace, travelled well, led 1f out, kept on well, won readily; yet to race beyond 6f, but no surprise to hear the Park Stakes and the Foret mentioned as possible targets, given how well he saw out a very testing 6f.
