has made an encouraging start over fences and would have been 2 from 2 in this sphere but for the intervention of the stewards, Townend's move to keep his rival hemmed in between the last 2 deemed sufficient to warrant a reversal, though, given the usual reluctance of the stewards to reverse results when the winning margin is greater than a neck, he may well have kept the race had he not seemingly idled late on; tracked pace, jumped fine, travelled fluently, close up approaching 2 out, taken right approaching last, jumped on there, driven out; open to further improvement.

avoided mistakes upped in trip and got back on track after a short break, awarded the race having suffered significant interference between the last 2 fences, though he was arguably flattered to get close enough to prompt the reversal; in touch, travelled as well as any, closing when denied a run between last 2, kept on well run-in.

ran well and would have finished closer still had he not been knocked sideways (edged left himself) before the last, totally off balance when making his only error of the race; dictated, tackled approaching 2 out, bumped approaching last, mistake there, faded.

A slow gallop meant this wasn't much of a test in the conditions, all 4 that remained still in with every chance 2 out, things getting tight approaching the last with the first past the post ultimately placed second.

RAMILLIES (IRE) has made an encouraging start over fences and would have been 2 from 2 in this sphere but for the intervention of the stewards, Townend's move to keep his rival hemmed in between the last 2 deemed sufficient to warrant a reversal, though, given the usual reluctance of the stewards to reverse results when the winning margin is greater than a neck, he may well have kept the race had he not seemingly idled late on; tracked pace, jumped fine, travelled fluently, close up approaching 2 out, taken right approaching last, jumped on there, driven out; open to further improvement.

AMIRITE (IRE) ran well and would have finished closer still had he not been knocked sideways (edged left himself) before the last, totally off balance when making his only error of the race; dictated, tackled approaching 2 out, bumped approaching last, mistake there, faded.

CHEMICAL ENERGY (IRE) after 3 months off, proved to be a disappointment up in grade, a couple of serious errors taking their toll; waited with, hit tenth, blundered 3 out, every chance next, folded tamely from last.

FRANCIN (FR) upped markedly in trip, departed the race before it was to truly take shape; waited with, in touch when stumbled and unseated 4 out.
