ran as well as he has in terms of form, but it was actually a bit disappointing that he didn't get the job done after everything dropped perfectly, soon holding a perfect pitch behind the pace and, unlike so many, getting an untroubled run through; tracked pace, travelled powerfully, produced to lead final 1f, edged out near line.

All 17 ran.

Winning Owner: Taylor's Bloodstock Ltd

Time: 58.1s

Overrounds: Industry SP 128%, Betfair SP 101.7%

A high-quality 5f handicap spoiled to a large extent by the trouble in running experienced by so many, this not the first time that 17 runners has looked too many on this track, Orion's Bow and Duke of Firenze just 2 that never had a payer of working their way through the field.

LINE OF REASON (IRE) ended a long losing run with a show of commitment under pressure that hasn't always been evident, still worth bearing in mind that plenty were unable to show what they could do in this race due to traffic issues, however, Line of Reason and Kimberella benefiting from making their efforts from off the pace in the centre of the course; held up, travelled well, good headway approaching final 1f, stayed on to lead near line.

HARRY HURRICANE ran as well as he has in terms of form, but it was actually a bit disappointing that he didn't get the job done after everything dropped perfectly, soon holding a perfect pitch behind the pace and, unlike so many, getting an untroubled run through; tracked pace, travelled powerfully, produced to lead final 1f, edged out near line.

CASPIAN PRINCE (IRE) is now on a career-high mark and ran up to best, unable to dominate in the way he had at Epsom but still giving it his all; helped force pace, edged ahead over 1f out, headed final 1f.

MIRZA ran creditably after 8 months off but did have the services of a good claimer and enjoyed a much clearer run than plenty, too; mid-field, pushed along halfway, kept on.

ROBOT BOY (IRE) ran respectably, but he was well positioned and enjoyed a trouble-free passage, too, unlike plenty behind; chased leaders, ridden halfway, not quicken approaching final 1f.

EL ASTRONAUTE (IRE) handicapper seems in control now but he remains in good form; helped force pace, headed approaching final 1f, one paced.

EAST STREET REVUE wasn't disgraced, not done any favours by the draw but enjoying a clear passage at all times as a result, unlike plenty others; raced wide, mid-field, pushed along halfway, not quicken final 1f.

STEPPER POINT probably remains in form, one of plenty in this to be denied the room to open up properly in the second half of the race; mid-field, short of room from 2f out, always around same position.

CONFESSIONAL found it tougher going back in a higher grade handicap; raced off the pace, never involved.

JACK DEXTER has been given a chance by the handicapper but didn't get a chance to take advantage, one of a number in this race to be denied a run through from off the pace; held up, short of room from 2f out, never dangerous.

GAMESOME (FR) can have a line put through this run, one of several denied any kind of run; mid-field, short of room from halfway, never a threat.

DESERT LAW (IRE) was below form, his reappearance form here seemingly flattering judged on subsequent efforts in handicaps; close up, ridden over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

DUKE OF FIRENZE can have this run ignored, finding himself poorly positioned after fluffing the start then never having a prayer of working his way through such a large field; dwelt, raced well off the pace, denied a run from 2f out, never involved.

BOWSON FRED was well held for the second start in succession, seemingly not having returned from a break in top form; mid-field, pushed along halfway, beaten approaching final 1f, short of room late on.

MOVE IN TIME again finished well held, his mark starting to slip now but hardly showing much; mid-field, no extra over 1f out, beaten when short of room final 1f.
