was a much bigger price than on his last few starts but got back near his best to get off the mark over obstacles; prominent, hampered early final circuit, pushed along before 3 out, stayed on to lead soon after last, driven out; he shapes as though he'll stay long distances and remains somewhat unexposed.

last on his first 5 starts, showed his first form, first-time blinkers, a 10-week break and an 8f hike in trip all factors behind the improvement, and for much of the way he looked the pick at the weights, well treated from a basement mark judged on this; close up, travelled best, led before 3 out, ridden when headed soon after last, kept on.

strong in the betting, with his form last time working out, proved to be a disappointment, already done for when falling, just not in the same form for some reason; prominent, not always fluent, every chance when ridden before 3 out, weakening when fell next; on balance, he's worth another chance.

All 11 ran. Hurdles: 14. Race Distance Adjustment: +15 yds

Winning Owner: Mr Phillips, Mrs Percy, Dr Palmer

Time: 5m 56.7s Closing Sectional: (3.40f): 46.70s (108.7%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 115%, Betfair SP 100.9%

A lowly set of handicappers and there's not much strength to the form even though some of the less-exposed ones came to the fore; a stop-start gallop meant the field started to thin out only approaching 4 out and ensured a fairly fast finish.

LANDMARQUE was a much bigger price than on his last few starts but got back near his best to get off the mark over obstacles; prominent, hampered early final circuit, pushed along before 3 out, stayed on to lead soon after last, driven out; he shapes as though he'll stay long distances and remains somewhat unexposed.

MOSCOW CALLING (IRE) last on his first 5 starts, showed his first form, first-time blinkers, a 10-week break and an 8f hike in trip all factors behind the improvement, and for much of the way he looked the pick at the weights, well treated from a basement mark judged on this; close up, travelled best, led before 3 out, ridden when headed soon after last, kept on.

ROBINS LEGEND (IRE) making handicap debut in a first-time visor after 6 weeks off, ran his best race; in touch, every chance when pushed along 3 out, one paced before last.

BRACING after 8 weeks off, took a step back in the right direction; held up, met some trouble early final circuit, pushed along before 4 out, kept on, never landed a blow.

ANDHAAR was below form; in touch, lost place early final circuit, struggling 4 out, no threat after.

RASCO (IRE) ran better than for a while, not that that's saying much; mid-division, pushed along 4 out, weakened before last (possibly failed to stay).

BURNT SIENNA (IRE) after 12 weeks off, took a minor step back in the right direction; in rear, some headway 3 out, never involved.

MR WITMORE (IRE) again finished well held; raced off the pace, no chance from 4 out.

QUEST MAGIC (IRE) without the headgear this time, fared little better; led until before 4 out, weakened early in straight.

CRUACHAN (IRE) offered little; bad mistake first, always behind.

SHOTOFWINE strong in the betting, with his form last time working out, proved to be a disappointment, already done for when falling, just not in the same form for some reason; prominent, not always fluent, every chance when ridden before 3 out, weakening when fell next; on balance, he's worth another chance.
