MULLINAREE (IRE) looked as ungainly as ever but is undoubtedly progressive and made light of the move into a better-quality handicap, scoring by a margin greater than those of his 3 previous wins combined and value extra on top; prominent, not fluent second, led soon after fifth, drew clear back straight, not fluent 2 out, in command before last, eased close home.

SACRE COEUR (FR) shaped encouragingly on her first start since leaving Jonjo O'Neill, having undergone a breathing operation during a 3-month absence; dropped out, took keen hold, headway between 3 out and 2 out, effort when left second last, ran on, never nearer.

IMPULSIVE ONE (USA) ran respectably on his first outing since bought out of Nicky Henderson's stable for £40,000; patiently ridden, headway before 5 out, effort entering straight, left in a place last, no extra.

LUTTRELL LAD (IRE) was a bit disappointing after 8 weeks off, neither the step up in trip nor the first-time tongue strap having the desired effect; held up, headway pushed along end of back straight, no further impression.

HANG IN THERE (IRE) failed to repeat his last effort, this race having a bit more depth; chased leaders, third when pushed along home turn, weakening when mistake 2 out.

RUNSWICK BAY 2 lb out of the weights, followed a below-par effort with an even worse one after a breathing operation; mid-division, not fluent fourth, fifth, effort when jumped left 3 out, left behind soon after.

CELESTIAL HORIZON (IRE) continues to fall in the weights without showing any sign of taking advantage; held up, struggling 5 out, lost touch end of back straight.

DIDTHEYLEAVEUOUTTO (IRE) without the headgear this time, ran even worse; raced well off the pace, some headway out wide 5 out, effort proved short-lived.

KING ALEXANDER (IRE) wouldn't have completed the hat-trick but was in the process of running creditably when departing; tracked pace, crept closer circuit out, second when mistake 2 out, held in that position when fell last.

THE WOUNDED KNEE ran poorly without his usual tongue strap on his first outing for 3 months/since leaving Patrick Neville; made running, jumped left, headed over circuit out, dropped away gradually.

EARLOFTHECOTSWOLDS (FR) has developed into a useful stayer on the Flat but offered little back over hurdles after 9 weeks off; mid-field, lost place 5 out, soon beaten.
