Queen's Gamble saw her bubble burst on the face of it but, on balance, it's worth retaining an upbeat stance on the previously flawless mare and taking a positive one of a rival positioned closest to her in the betting who sustained her run from rear to get to the front late on, not that conditions and/or the run of the race tested stamina enough to string them all out,.

DYSART ENOS (IRE) overcame the rise in class at the chief expense of one of the most well-touted mares in the division, showing encouraging speed to cut that rival down considering her pedigree and point form; held up, crept closer straight, quickened to lead approaching final 50 yds, ran on; she's earned her place in something like the Nickel Coin at Aintree.

QUEENS GAMBLE (IRE) lost her unbeaten record but not without giving it her all, just unable to shake off a closer with a turn of foot in a race that tested speed over stamina, all whilst conceding 4 lb and returning from a 13-week break; in touch, led entering straight, kicked on clear soon after, reduced advantage final 1f, collared approaching final 50 yds, no response; she remains a fine prospect worth her place in a Festival bumper, though a hard enough race here may encourage a path to Aintree rather than Cheltenham.

TAKE NO CHANCES (IRE) has made a promising start under Rules in bumpers 10 weeks apart, doing best of the rest behind a pair of smart ones; dropped out, smooth headway out wide straight, pushed along approaching final 1f, not quicken; she'll find much easier races in which to open her account

FLYING FORTUNE (IRE) again shaped well enough to believe winning a more run-of-the-mill bumper won't be much of an issue; in touch, effort early in straight, still green, not quicken.

DAYTONA BEACH (IRE) (13,000 3-y-o: by Dubawi: third foal: sister to 2 winners, including fairly useful 2m/19f hurdle winner Clear White Light: dam 7f/1m winner) faced a stiff task starting out and clearly has plenty of ability to beat 3 of her rivals under the circumstances, not that she was ever fully involved; dropped out, shaken up straight, kept on gradually, no threat.

MELLIFICENT (IRE) was found out for speed in better company after 4 months off, no surprise given how she'd shaped on her sole outing in Ireland; chased leader until end of back straight, outpaced over 3f out; she's still a good staying prospect for hurdling.

TIPPERARY STAR faced a stiffer task in this grade; held up, raced freely, took closer order circuit out, shuffled back home turn, rallied briefly 3f out, no further impression.

WOOGREY (IRE) was outclassed; led until entering straight, brushed aside.
