went 2 places better than in 2018 on her return from 6 months off, the increased emphasis on stamina caused by conditions playing to her strengths (looked third best home turn); waited with, shaken up home turn, stayed on to lead run-in; had been allotted a stiff-looking BHA mark even prior to this, so won't be easy to place in the short term.

had winning run ended but still ran well after 3 months off; made running, pressed on end of back straight, untidy 3 out (fluent otherwise), headed run-in, rallied; will continue to give a good account.

faced a stiff task in this grade but was pretty laboured even so; soon detached, jumped ponderously, struggling some way out, merely closed up late (reportedly finished lame).

shaped as if still in good form, trading as low as 1.50 in-running on Betfair until the desperate conditions seemed to take their toll back over a longer trip; chased leader, travelled best most of way, close up when mistake 2 out, dropped away quickly.

Conditions on the chase course were truly desperate - parts of the run-in were affected by extreme standing water - and a cautious view of the form is best, particularly with the odds-on favourite wilting late on.

ATLANTA ABLAZE went 2 places better than in 2018 on her return from 6 months off, the increased emphasis on stamina caused by conditions playing to her strengths (looked third best home turn); waited with, shaken up home turn, stayed on to lead run-in; had been allotted a stiff-looking BHA mark even prior to this, so won't be easy to place in the short term.

ANGEL OF HARLEM faced a stiff task in this grade but was pretty laboured even so; soon detached, jumped ponderously, struggling some way out, merely closed up late (reportedly finished lame).
