gambled on, with his form here last time proving particularly strong, improved to resume winning ways after 10 weeks off, seemingly having a good bit in hand to overcome the dawdling tempo in the style that he did; in touch, mistake fifth, had to wait for gap leaving back straight, quickened to lead 2 out, not fluent there, in command soon after last, won readily; is yet to run a bad race since joining this yard and will remain of plenty of interest.

turned in his best effort since going handicapping, though very much had the run of the race; dictated, quickened gradually back straight, headed 2 out, kept on.

fitter for recent run and back on much more suitable ground, bounced back to form dipping back into a 0-130, not seen to best effect either; soon steadied, untidy seventh, hung left briefly home turn, headway 2 out, hung left again run-in but ran on having been left poorly placed; he's far from straightforward but one to bear in mind again now, likely to be well placed again this spring/summer.

upped markedly in trip for handicap debut after 10 weeks off, was easy to back and not seen to anything like best effect the way this developed; held up, awkward seventh, headway out wide approaching 2 out, forced to switch after last, kept on; there's better to come from him yet.

back up in trip, ran creditably, unable to quicken late on in a race run at a crawl; mid-division, went handy 4 out, every chance when steadied into 2 out, not quicken.

easy to back making handicap debut, can have this run ignored, unsuited by the emphasis on speed and matters compounded by being shuffled back approaching 2 out.

Nothing like the stamina test that this series is designed to be, Faithful Mount left alone in front to set a pedestrian tempo - reaching the third last around 15 seconds slower than the following contest - the field still very well grouped early in the straight as it turned into a sprint, several understandably not seen to best effect.

BALLYHOME (IRE) gambled on, with his form here last time proving particularly strong, improved to resume winning ways after 10 weeks off, seemingly having a good bit in hand to overcome the dawdling tempo in the style that he did; in touch, mistake fifth, had to wait for gap leaving back straight, quickened to lead 2 out, not fluent there, in command soon after last, won readily; is yet to run a bad race since joining this yard and will remain of plenty of interest.
