needed only a reproduction of her last run to get off the mark, a change of tactics in this small field no bad thing, either; made running, headed when shaped to run out early final circuit, led again after next, quickened entering straight, in command 2 out, won readily; she'll need to do more once reassessed but is clearly in good heart.

in first-time cheekpieces, wasn't as well suited by the run of things as the winner but didn't do enough to think she's got anything in hand from this sort of mark (weak race); held up, effort approaching home turn, not fluent 2 out, took second last, no impression on winner.

ridden by an inexperienced jockey, ran up to form after 10 weeks off but isn't especially interesting from a mark in the mid-120s at present; soon steadied, took keen hold, bit outpaced before home turn, not fluent 3 out and 2 out, kept on run-in.

had been handed a harsh-looking 5-lb rise for her Doncaster second and ended up last of the quartet back up in trip; chased leader, led briefly early final circuit, mistake sixth, headed soon after, lost second last, one paced.

A combination of being the best handicapped and dictating the tempo saw Precious Eleanor off the mark quite comfortably.
