was well backed and overcame several mistakes in the straight to follow up last month's Chepstow win, suited by the way the race developed, sensibly held back as his 2 main rivals took each other on for the lead; chased clear leaders, travelled smoothly, took closer order from halfway, edged ahead entering straight, untidy 4 out, blundered next, hit 2 out, driven before last, kept up to work; will remain eligible for lower-graded events than this when bidding for a hat-trick though will struggle to find one as uncompetitive and won't always get away with such a sloppy round of jumping.

remains capable of smart form on his day and ran one of this season's better races after 10 weeks off, albeit in a weak race for the grade; chased leader, edged ahead fourth, not fluent next, headed before sixth, led again next, jumped left 5 out, headed when pecked next, switched left before 3 out, not quicken.

A very weak event for the grade, a veterans race in all but name, just 4 taking part, one of whom was racing from miles out of the weights; a contested early gallop played right into the hands of the more patiently-ridden Tornado In Milan.

TORNADO IN MILAN (IRE) was well backed and overcame several mistakes in the straight to follow up last month's Chepstow win, suited by the way the race developed, sensibly held back as his 2 main rivals took each other on for the lead; chased clear leaders, travelled smoothly, took closer order from halfway, edged ahead entering straight, untidy 4 out, blundered next, hit 2 out, driven before last, kept up to work; will remain eligible for lower-graded events than this when bidding for a hat-trick though will struggle to find one as uncompetitive and won't always get away with such a sloppy round of jumping.
