confirmed promise of chasing debut, for all he was a fortunate winner on the day; helped force pace, jumped well in main, went with zest, driven in second between last 2, seemingly held when left in front last, dug deep to hold on; remains open to improvement and, given he's looked an assured jumper to date, could be an interesting runner in valuable 2m handicap company sooner rather than later.

fairly useful over hurdles, ran below that level sent chasing but probably needed the run after 5 months off; raced wide, pecked first, not fluent 5 out, shaken up end of back straight, weakened latter stages (finished tired); entitled to progress with this run/experience under his belt.

easy to back, followed a below-par effort with an even worse one; mid-division, slow fourth, lost place when outpaced back straight, beaten some way out (albeit not unduly punished).

got back on track from out of the blue and would have won but for an agonising late exit; helped force pace, not always fluent, travelled strongly, pressed on leaving back straight, pecked 4 out, asserted from next, looked in control when unseated rider last; clearly needs to brush up jumping, but looks open to further improvement on this evidence.

Time: 3m 52.3s Closing Sectional: (2.25f): 32.90s (99.5%)

An eventful finish to this useful novice handicap, with Robinshill departing at the last with the race seemingly at his mercy; the pace was quite a good one.

DAREBIN (GER) confirmed promise of chasing debut, for all he was a fortunate winner on the day; helped force pace, jumped well in main, went with zest, driven in second between last 2, seemingly held when left in front last, dug deep to hold on; remains open to improvement and, given he's looked an assured jumper to date, could be an interesting runner in valuable 2m handicap company sooner rather than later.

KAPSTADT (FR) whose stable is going well, left chasing debut form behind; dropped out, travelled smoothly, took closer order from early, lost place when not all that fluent 3 out and 2 out (went left), left second last, rallied well run-in; may do better still.

VALHALLA (IRE) was strong in the betting again but failed to meet expectations back down markedly in trip; in touch, lost place when mistakes 5 out and 4 out, blundered again 3 out, one paced after, albeit not persevered with once held.

FLORESCO (GER) fairly useful over hurdles, ran below that level sent chasing but probably needed the run after 5 months off; raced wide, pecked first, not fluent 5 out, shaken up end of back straight, weakened latter stages (finished tired); entitled to progress with this run/experience under his belt.

GOING FOR BROKE (IRE) easy to back, followed a below-par effort with an even worse one; mid-division, slow fourth, lost place when outpaced back straight, beaten some way out (albeit not unduly punished).
