Non-runners rendered this a pretty thin listed event and the form needs treating with a good degree of caution, one with no recent form causing a surprise after the placed horses had gone for home plenty early enough in the conditions.

MAUD GONNE SPIRIT (IRE) returned to form from out of the blue, this rather falling into her lap after the placed horses went for home too soon; mid-field, outpaced 3f out, keeping on when switched approaching final 1f, led final strides; one to take on next time.

CURVATURE (IRE) produced a career best under an aggressive ride back down in trip, not going down without a fight when headed; forced pace, tackled 2f out, headed final 1f, no extra only late on.

KINGSWOOD proved to be a disappointment, never travelling with the same zest as he had at the Curragh and possible this just came too soon after only 9 days off; mid-field, driven 3f out, came wide home turn, plugged on.

ANY DREAM WILL DO (IRE) shaped similarly to last time; waited with, steady headway over 3f out, kept on, never better than mid-field.

KEEP IN TOUCH (IRE) failed to back up dubious latest effort; mid-division, lost place approaching home turn, one paced.
