resumed winning ways after 8 weeks off, holding a narrow advantage when a good jump at the last sealed the deal; tracked pace, pecked 4 out, challenged 2 out, jumped on last, asserted run-in; a high-class performer at this best, he should continue to give a good account as long as his sights aren't set too high this season.

What looked an intriguing clash between 3 high-class steeplechasers quickly boiled down to a match by halfway, Easy Game coming out on top having outjumped the front-running Ballyoisin at the final fence.

EASY GAME (FR) resumed winning ways after 8 weeks off, holding a narrow advantage when a good jump at the last sealed the deal; tracked pace, pecked 4 out, challenged 2 out, jumped on last, asserted run-in; a high-class performer at this best, he should continue to give a good account as long as his sights aren't set too high this season.

BALLYOISIN (IRE) back up in trip, clearly retains a good portion of his ability, but he was there to be shot at by the winner and was soon done with after losing momentum at the last; led, travelled fluently, ridden approaching 2 out, headed when not fluent last, one paced.

THE STORYTELLER (IRE) clearly wasn't 100% after 5 months off; held up, not always fluent, awkward sixth, pulled up before next (reportedly lame).
