fairly useful over hurdles, improved on that level as he made a winning start over fences after 8 months off, producing some fine leaps and clever enough at the ones he didn't meet quite so well, probably more to come from him with experience in this sphere; led, travelled fluently, jumped left sixth, headed when not fluent next, jumped on again eighth, quickened clear 2 out, in command last, won readily.

who played up beforehand, proved to be a disappointment sent chasing on first start for a new yard (formerly trained by Sean Thomas Doyle, won second of 2 starts over hurdles) after 8 months off; in rear, not always fluent, hampered 5 out, weakened after next; he perhaps wasn't in a state to do himself justice after his antics on the way to post, and is worth another chance (should make a chaser).

The pair who brought the best chasing form to the table disappointed to differing degrees but there's still substance to this form to go alongside the style in which the winner came clear.

FANTASTIKAS (FR) fairly useful over hurdles, improved on that level as he made a winning start over fences after 8 months off, producing some fine leaps and clever enough at the ones he didn't meet quite so well, probably more to come from him with experience in this sphere; led, travelled fluently, jumped left sixth, headed when not fluent next, jumped on again eighth, quickened clear 2 out, in command last, won readily.
