went one better than reappearance despite not really looking at home on this sharp track; dictated, hung right/looked ungainly on turns, joined over 2f out, lugged right again entering straight but re-asserted soon after and stayed on, going away at the line; had the run of the race, but it's encouraging that he's strung together 2 good runs in relatively quick succession given apparent fragiity, and there could be more to come if he gets a clear run at things, especially as he's bred to be suited by further.

back up in trip, took a step back in the right direction despite not being seen to best effect; in rear, had to wait for gap 2f out, kept on, never nearer, left poorly placed; not one to write off when a well-run race looks on the cards.

without the headgear this time, wasn't disgraced after 3 months off; in rear, crept closer around halfway, shaken up 3f out, ran on, not ideally placed; needs further respite from the assessor, though.

All 7 ran.

Winning Owner: Araam

Time: 2m 6.05s Closing Sectional: (2.00f): 23.20s (108.7%)

A modestly-run handicap, Palavecino making all despite racing awkwardly, and it looks a pretty ordinary race for the grade.

PALAVECINO (FR) went one better than reappearance despite not really looking at home on this sharp track; dictated, hung right/looked ungainly on turns, joined over 2f out, lugged right again entering straight but re-asserted soon after and stayed on, going away at the line; had the run of the race, but it's encouraging that he's strung together 2 good runs in relatively quick succession given apparent fragiity, and there could be more to come if he gets a clear run at things, especially as he's bred to be suited by further.

MAXIMUM EFFECT was clearly over whatever ailed her at Chelmsford 3 months ago, but had every chance and this essentially confirms that her progression is already behind her; prominent, switched to inner 2f out as winner hung off rail, effort soon after, every chance 1f out, kept on.

NOBLE PEACE after just 3 days off, wasted no time getting back to form; mid-field, good headway 3f out, upsides soon after, carried right entering straight, headed soon after, one paced.

MY TARGET (IRE) back up in trip, took a step back in the right direction despite not being seen to best effect; in rear, had to wait for gap 2f out, kept on, never nearer, left poorly placed; not one to write off when a well-run race looks on the cards.

MOSTAWAA without the headgear this time, wasn't disgraced after 3 months off; in rear, crept closer around halfway, shaken up 3f out, ran on, not ideally placed; needs further respite from the assessor, though.

THECHILDREN'STRUST (IRE) after 8 weeks off, underperformed; steadied at the start, mid-division, took strong hold, went prominent before halfway, left behind from 2f out.

THE JEAN GENIE ran poorly after 10 weeks off; mid-division, raced freely, shuffled back before halfway, carried head bit awkwardly, never a threat.
