looks banker material at this stage for the Sprint on Good Friday, unopposable on all-weather with his 2 efforts on synthetic surfaces following a break (and a breathing operation) suggesting he's in a different league to the usual calibre of opposition, looking better than ever faced with these conditions as he followed up his Wolverhampton success in this deeper race in even more stylish fashion; broke well, forced pace, quickened clear home turn, impressive.

ran creditably up in grade, has made a really promising start for this yard as she picked up some black type; chased leaders, pushed along over 2f out, kept on, no impression on winner; she pulled too hard when tried at 7f by her previous yard last summer, but it's an experiment worth trying again ahead of Good Friday, a crack at the Fillies And Mares race more likely to bear fruit than running into Kachy again in the Sprint.

again ran creditably in a race that didn't really pan out to suit, but he's his own worst enemy to a certain extent given his failure to settle despite getting a strong pace; held up, took strong hold, came wide home turn, ran on late.

was among the top handful of juvenile sprinters in 2016, chasing home Blue Point (now Timeform rated 129) in the Gimcrack and shaped encouragingly after almost 2 years off, this considerate reappearance, his first outing since undergoing a breathing operation, suggesting he retains all his old ability; dropped out, raced freely, shaken up early in straight, late headway, not knocked about; it will be interesting to see what route connections choose for him, but no surprise if he ends up a leading contender for some of the valuable big-field handicaps on turf.

is a smart all-weather performer on his day, as he's shown several times, but this was his first experience of this speed-favouring course and it seemed not to play to his strengths in the same way that Chelmsford and the longer straight at Kempton has; mid-division, pushed along halfway, headway when short of room inside final 1f, not unduly punished.

All 9 ran.

Winning Owner: David Lowe

Time: 1m 8.32s Closing Sectional: (2.00f): 22.60s (100.8%)

A smart field for this listed contest, but there isn't an all-weather sprinter around that can cope with Kachy in this sort of form, and he dominated this from start to finish, setting a strong gallop and sustaining it all the way, breaking the course record.

KACHY looks banker material at this stage for the Sprint on Good Friday, unopposable on all-weather with his 2 efforts on synthetic surfaces following a break (and a breathing operation) suggesting he's in a different league to the usual calibre of opposition, looking better than ever faced with these conditions as he followed up his Wolverhampton success in this deeper race in even more stylish fashion; broke well, forced pace, quickened clear home turn, impressive.

GORGEOUS NOORA (IRE) ran creditably up in grade, has made a really promising start for this yard as she picked up some black type; chased leaders, pushed along over 2f out, kept on, no impression on winner; she pulled too hard when tried at 7f by her previous yard last summer, but it's an experiment worth trying again ahead of Good Friday, a crack at the Fillies And Mares race more likely to bear fruit than running into Kachy again in the Sprint.

STONE OF DESTINY again ran creditably in a race that didn't really pan out to suit, but he's his own worst enemy to a certain extent given his failure to settle despite getting a strong pace; held up, took strong hold, came wide home turn, ran on late.

MOKARRIS (USA) was among the top handful of juvenile sprinters in 2016, chasing home Blue Point (now Timeform rated 129) in the Gimcrack and shaped encouragingly after almost 2 years off, this considerate reappearance, his first outing since undergoing a breathing operation, suggesting he retains all his old ability; dropped out, raced freely, shaken up early in straight, late headway, not knocked about; it will be interesting to see what route connections choose for him, but no surprise if he ends up a leading contender for some of the valuable big-field handicaps on turf.

SIR THOMAS GRESHAM (IRE) ran to a similar level to last time back down in trip, and though this was just his fourth start, this sort of company does look to be beyond him; chased leader, driven over 2f out, weakened final 100 yds.

CENOTAPH (USA) is a smart all-weather performer on his day, as he's shown several times, but this was his first experience of this speed-favouring course and it seemed not to play to his strengths in the same way that Chelmsford and the longer straight at Kempton has; mid-division, pushed along halfway, headway when short of room inside final 1f, not unduly punished.

ROMAN RIVER after 8 months off, was out of his depth and never figured; in rear, ridden soon after halfway, hampered over 1f out, made no impression.

CORINTHIA KNIGHT (IRE) followed a below-par effort with an even worse one, seems to be in a lull for now; in rear, never travelling well, keeping on when badly hampered 1f out, not persevered with once held.

LANCELOT DU LAC (ITY) who has gone well fresh, and is a previous winner of this race, but he's getting into the veteran stages now and was below form after 5 months off; chased leaders, pushed along soon after halfway, weakened 1f out.
