without the headgear this time and after 11 weeks off, made the most of a good opportunity, recording a comfortable success; close up, loomed up over 2f out, led over 1f out, in command soon after, won easily; he looks back to his best all of a sudden and will continue to merit plenty of respect.

back up in trip, had work to do on these terms but again ran creditably, as well as he was entitled; raced off the pace, raced freely, headway entering straight, every chance over 1f out, one paced.

upped in trip and having had a wind operation since latest outing, has achieved just fair form over hurdles for this yard, probably needing the run after 6 months off, though he remains with a bit to prove overall; led, took strong hold, headed over 1f out, weakened.

A very steadily-run minor event that is easy to assess, with the standard-setting favourite scoring readily.

RED VERDON (USA) without the headgear this time and after 11 weeks off, made the most of a good opportunity, recording a comfortable success; close up, loomed up over 2f out, led over 1f out, in command soon after, won easily; he looks back to his best all of a sudden and will continue to merit plenty of respect.

GREAT HALL shaped as if retaining all ability after 4 months off, facing a stiff task against the winner, and is entitled to be sharper for the run; in touch, close up entering straight, kept on, no match for winner.

CALLING OUT (FR) back up in trip, had work to do on these terms but again ran creditably, as well as he was entitled; raced off the pace, raced freely, headway entering straight, every chance over 1f out, one paced.

CELESTIAL PATH (IRE) upped in trip and having had a wind operation since latest outing, has achieved just fair form over hurdles for this yard, probably needing the run after 6 months off, though he remains with a bit to prove overall; led, took strong hold, headed over 1f out, weakened.
