picked up where he left off when last seen 9 months earlier, deserving extra credit having been held up in a race where the early gallop was steady; patiently ridden, crept closer from 4 out, headway to lead last, not fluent there, responded well; already useful and is open to further improvement after just 5 starts, sure to be of interest again, especially with longer trips still to be explored.

without the headgear this time, adopted his usual front-running tactics and ran respectably after 6 months off, beaten only by an upwardly-mobile pair half his age; made running, jumped right throughout, ridden after 3 out, headed before last, kept on.

was presumably having a pipe-opener back over hurdles after 6 months off without the cheekpieces worn for his previous handler in Ireland, this sort of test always likely to prove inadequate for a horse proven over much further; held up, not always fluent, never involved.

offered little on his first outing since leaving N. Devilder after 15 months off, beaten before the longer trip became a factor, but he remains with potential, his next run hopefully revealing more; mid-field, took keen hold, outpaced home turn, beaten before 2 out.
