completed hat-trick to conclude a pretty perfect all-weather campaign, securing the 2 main prizes he'll have been aimed at, the Winter Derby and now this, improving upon placed efforts in the same races last year, seemingly still getting better even at the age of 6; mid-field, travelled well, headway over 1f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f, won readily; will remain of serious interest on all-weather.

ran well in spite of the way the race developed, typically staying on well having been asked to come from that bit further back than the winner, just in need of a greater test of stamina than is often presented at this track; in rear, took strong hold, headway over 1f out, finished well, never nearer but no impression on winner; he's admirably tough and will continue to give a good account.

hadn't been beaten far by Grendisar in the Winter Derby but disappointed on this occasion, one of the first to come under pressure, clearly not himself for whatever reason; raced wide, prominent, off the bridle before most, weakened 1f out.
