not beaten far in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud just 8 days on from breaking his maiden at this track last year, produced a borderline smart performance on his comeback run, this a very solid platform upon which to build; tracked pace, pushed along entering straight, went on over 1f out, drew clear, well on top finish; open to further improvement, he will be the one to beat in the Derrinstown Derby Trial back here next month and will stay 1½m when the time comes.

gelded since last seen, ran well on form returned to the scene of his listed win last year, albeit without really troubling the winner; mid-division, not settle fully, ridden early in straight, kept on; held his form well during a busy campaign last year and will continue to give a good account.

showed improved form 5 months on from his debut victory, the experience gained here likely to bring him on even more, still looking a little rough around the edges; slowly into stride, held up, took keen hold, ridden entering straight, stayed on; capable of better.
