back down in trip and without a tongue strap this time, finally got it all together on a big day, producing a career-best effort to belatedly double his tally over fences, the emphasis on speed playing to his strengths; raced along inside, tracked pace, jumped well in main, took strong hold, produced to lead before last, driven out, suited by emphasis on speed; yet to conclusively prove he stays 3m, the Byrne Group Plate looks the logical race for him at Cheltenham.
