made the most of a good opportunity as he defied a penalty with ease, still with potential as a hurdler heading into handicaps, the way he goes about things suggesting such races will see him to still better advantage; led early, jumped fluently, took strong hold, remained prominent, went on again approaching 2 out, quickened clear, won easily.

progressed again after 8 months off and it'd be no surprise to see him improve further, qualified for a mark now and still very lightly raced for one that's pushing 9; dropped out, headway after 3 out, went second next, kept on, no match for winner.

ran to a similar level as on hurdling bow, unsuited by the drop in trip; patiently ridden, ridden after 3 out, one paced; he'll be suited by a return to 2½m, though he does need another run to qualify for a mark.

showed first form in this sphere after 9 months off, though this won't have done his prospective handicap mark any good; prominent, took keen hold, flattened 3 out, no extra from next.

after 11 weeks off, was still green and again finished well held, but he did at least show ability this time; took strong hold, led after second, headed approaching 2 out, bad mistake there, weakened.
