A fair race and solid enough form in all likelihood, a group of 4 racing more towards the centre for the most part but seemingly no advantage either way.

CAMACHO CHIEF (IRE) had won a race at Carlisle that has worked out well and, under the same claimer, followed up from a 7 lb higher mark, albeit with far less to spare this time; mid-field, ridden 2f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f.

MOVE IN TIME continues in good enough heart, just beaten by much younger rivals; mid-field, every chance entering final 1f, not quicken.

KICK ON KICK ON wasted no time getting back on track, his Wolverhampton effort easily excused; chased leaders, edged ahead final 1f, no extra final 50 yds.

ROYAL BRAVE (IRE) was having a rare run away from the North and continues in good heart; patiently ridden, headway under pressure entering final 1f, never landed a blow.

EQUIMOU turned out again quickly, had no excuses; led until final 1f, no extra.

PUDS after 10 weeks off, shaped as if back in form back under less firm conditions; prominent, every chance over 1f out, no extra.

BOSSIPOP ran better than last time but didn't have excuses on the day; prominent, every chance under 2f out, no extra final 1f.
