back down in trip, produced best effort to date to get off the mark for the season in a race which panned out well for him, arguably value for a bit extra given he didn't do much in front; held up, smooth headway from 3f out, challenged under 2f out, edged ahead last ½f, idled in front and just held on, suited by the way the race developed; low-mileage still and been gradually if sporadically progressive, so should remain competitive at least.

All 8 ran. Race Distance Adjustment: +17 yds

Winning Owner: The Queen

Time: 2m 29.85s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 38.20s (99.5%)

A useful handicap which didn't prove quite as competitive as expected as nearly half the field were given overly aggressive rides on top of which Monotype was evidently amiss; the trio who pulled clear all challenged from well off the pace.

FABRICATE back down in trip, produced best effort to date to get off the mark for the season in a race which panned out well for him, arguably value for a bit extra given he didn't do much in front; held up, smooth headway from 3f out, challenged under 2f out, edged ahead last ½f, idled in front and just held on, suited by the way the race developed; low-mileage still and been gradually if sporadically progressive, so should remain competitive at least.
