hinted that he was on the way back last time and took advantage of his much-reduced mark after a 10-week break (11 lb lower than at this point 12 months ago); outpaced towards rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on strongly, led close home, suited by the way the race developed; he'll remain on a fair mark and is fresh for the autumn.

shaped well dropped to 5f on first outing since leaving Charles Hills, doing especially well under the circumstances as he did too much too soon, worth rating as the pick of the weights; close up, travelled well, led over 1f out, collared close home; he's just the sort that'll thrive in his new yard and is one to note.

An open sprint and, although it was one influenced by the draw/track position, a positive view is still advised of the form; the stand side was favoured and a strong pace rather set it up for the winner who, along with the third, was taken off his feet early.

DISTANT PAST hinted that he was on the way back last time and took advantage of his much-reduced mark after a 10-week break (11 lb lower than at this point 12 months ago); outpaced towards rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on strongly, led close home, suited by the way the race developed; he'll remain on a fair mark and is fresh for the autumn.
