hasn't stood much racing to date but had already shown useful form and produced a strong finish to make a winning return from 7 months off, crucially proving more tractable on the back of a gelding operaton and in the right hands to achieve more, especially given the return to 1m will surely suit; held up, outpaced 2f out, headway under pressure final 1f, stayed on to lead near line; will remain of interest.

A useful handicap which saw little separate the first 6, though it's solid enough looking form given the second and third came here in good order and were only just edged out in the dying strides by much the least exposed runner in the field.

THE LOST KING hasn't stood much racing to date but had already shown useful form and produced a strong finish to make a winning return from 7 months off, crucially proving more tractable on the back of a gelding operaton and in the right hands to achieve more, especially given the return to 1m will surely suit; held up, outpaced 2f out, headway under pressure final 1f, stayed on to lead near line; will remain of interest.

POPMASTER (IRE) was unable to justify short odds but rarely runs a bad race on all-weather and was denied only on the line by a much less-exposed rival; tracked pace, led over 1f out, headed near line; will continue to give a good account.

HEATHCLIFF typically gave running back up in trip; mid-field, headway under pressure 1f out, challenged last ½f, kept on.

DOCTOR KHAN JUNIOR stepped up on comeback run having settled better in front, showing he retains most of his ability and he's edging back down to last winning mark; led until 1f out, no extra late on.

WITCH HUNTER (FR) ran creditably in the end after 9 weeks off but looked rusty through the early stages and probably ideally needs a strong pace at this trip; dwelt, held up, outpaced 2f out, late headway.
